Software Engineer 
(Penang)

Responsibilities:

• Provides application supports to end users on Capacity Planning (MCS/VanGUARD) applications be able to resolve issue within the specific SLA.
• Lead role/team member in all phases of the software development, including Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of software solutions.
• Work closely with other system analysts, developers and users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Able to work independently in seeking requirements and feedback, constantly updating end users with development progress and tracking, follow up on any pending issues.
• Handling customer requirement gathering, documentation, testing, training material, training, implementation and communication for enhancement assigned. .
• Be able to work effectively with IT partners, peers and other stake-holders to develop solutions based on customers’ requirements.
• Good to have: T-SQL (Stored Procedure, query) knowledge & experience.

Software Development / Programmer & Support

• Provide application support as per the agreed hours that will meet the current SLA.
• Update user manuals and prepare technical documentation.
• Analyze, design and develop windows-based and web-based applications.
• Able to work independently in designing and finding the right solution for the business user.
• Responsible to ensure quality release of software development projects with minimum to zero defect to business user.
• C#, VB.NET, T-SQL, SSIS for SQL 2008, SQL 2008 Reporting Services, LINQ, .Net Framework 3.5, ASP
• Good to have: Experience in Infragistics, Team Foundation Server 2005/2008

Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in the analysis, design, testing, development, support of software applications and/or implementation of projects.
• Possess strong analytical technical skills, interpersonal and project management skill, and the ability to drive project resource planning and execution.
• Ability to work in a team and able to operate in a multitasking environment with interrupts and priority changes.
• Good written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work independently with very minimum supervision.
